Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, telephone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. Lynnwood People Search does not save a copy of those queries on its own servers. When you send a message through the contact channel, we receive the information you decide to provide and use it to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and, when applicable, measurement of advertising activity.
How We Use Information
The information described above helps us run the service, diagnose faults, measure overall traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual profiles of users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Lynnwood departments, Snohomish County and Washington records offices, library collections, government portals, or outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by that service's policy rather than this one. Sponsored search results are also furnished by an independent provider with its own privacy practices.
Parties That Process Information
Vendors that host or support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatically collected information noted above. We may disclose information when valid legal process compels it, but otherwise do not share visitor data.
Safeguarding Your Information
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are retained only as long as the purposes listed above require. Because visitors do not create accounts, Lynnwood People Search holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may provide rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Washington's My Health My Data Act, chapter 19.373 RCW, grants rights concerning consumer health data, including access, withdrawal of consent, and deletion in covered circumstances. It is not a universal privacy law and does not create a blanket right to erase public records. Because we retain little, a request generally involves checking contact messages and available server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Records held by Lynnwood, Snohomish County, or Washington agencies remain under the control of their custodians. Agency disclosure and exemptions are governed in part by the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW.
Policy Changes
A revised version will be posted here when this policy changes. By continuing to use the service afterward, you accept the updated policy.
